Second Chance Charms

Put a fork in me, I’m done!  Love doing little decor pieces for my clients! Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Snowbound and both distressed and glazed in brown. Restained amd sealed.

 

While working on this piece I kept singing ‘Lady in Red’ by Chris De Burgh. I was thrilled when my client told me she wanted to go BOLD with red during our Color Consultation.

I found this gorgeous buffet at one of my treasure runs. I posted her up on In the Studio and she was picked up within the hour. Buffet by Bassett Furniture, this gorgeous buffet can be used not only as a buffet, but would be great as a dresser or tv entertainment unit. She has 3 Drawers located in the middle and 2 doors on each side, left and right, with one shelf each inside. Measurements are 64″ long x 19″ deep x 31.5″ tall. Dovetailed joints construction and solid wood.

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Fire Brick red. Distressed in the lines. Original hardware updated in Bronze. Removed the broken footers. Lovely sign created by Pearls and Power Tools.

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Cooled Blue and glazed in white. Fabric from Jo-ann’s used as backing. Original hardware updated in white.

An adorable bedroom set for a toddler becoming a big girl! This French Provincial bedroom set used to be my clients set when she was a child. Now passing it down to her daughter with a Second Chance touch.

Most recent projects! An entire bedroom set for a little farmhouse gal and a sentimental rocking chair my clients father built when he was a teen.

Small but Mighty! My clients father built this rocking chair when he was 15 years old . He is now 93 years old. She wanted the chair to be restored in its former beauty. 

I color matched this mint green color to a color named Julep by Sherwin-Williams. She wanted the seat to be stained a dark brown color that matched a dresser I refinished for her back in February of 2015.

My client is a very particular guy who knew exactly what he wanted for his daughters bedroom set. This bedroom set is very special to him as he had bought it for his late mother a decade ago. After her passing he wanted to give it to his daughter for sentimental reasons. Grandma and her grand-daughter had a special bond, and after her passing she can now grow into this set as a young woman and appreciate the love her father and grandmother both have for her. The history and future of this family story is lovely.

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Snowbound and heavily glazed in brown. All stained areas are a custom stain that I created for my client. He brought a veneer sample to be matched with his pine pieces. Added new hardware, Crystal Flower knobs and pulls that I revamped in White and Brown Glaze. Matching nightstand and bed frame to follow.
