Dining Table and Chairs

A few weeks ago I posted about a chair that I refinished for a client, click Dining Chair to read about it! My client was unsure with imagining how her dining set was going to look refinished so I offered to start with one chair to show her. Well, her dining table and chairs are complete! After dropping off the dining set on Friday she also gave me the matching hutch to officially complete this set! Stay tuned in to that lovely transformation!

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Greek Villa and lightly stained in brown. The top of the table is stained in Wood Classics Armoire Hickory. The two drawer handles revamped in black. Chairs reupholstered in Joann’s Fabric a grey vinyl.

Antique Barrel Top Decorative Trunk

Look at this stuff
Isn’t it neat?
Wouldn’t you think my collection’s complete?
Wouldn’t you think I’m the girl
The girl who has ev’rything?
Look at this trove
Treasures untold
How many wonders can one cavern hold?
Lookin’ around here you’d think
(Sure) she’s got everything…”

Why am I singing Ariel’s song ‘Part of your world’ from my favorite childhood Disney movie Little Mermaid you ask?

Well, If you like color, mermaids, the ocean or even treasure, you will definitely like this trunk!! I tried a blending technique on a Serpentine Dresser not to long ago and absolutely loved the freedom and chaos it provided. (Click Serpentine Dresser to view) So when my client handed me an antique barrel top decorative trunk that she needed to use to store her blankets, but had no idea how she wanted her trunk refinished, I was full of ideas. I sent her a few inspirational photos of both black and colorful pieces and she dove in with “I love color, I’m excited, just surprise me”. Total freedom… Glad she is as happy as I am!!

I’m absolutely excited not only about this piece, but the technique. It was fun and completely different then my usual!

Refinished in four different colors using Sherwin-Williams Freshwater, Haven, Butternut and Rockwood Terra Cotta. All hardware and metal pieces revamped in gold. Glazed in a brown to antique this trunk up a bit more to create a timeless look.

Dining Table

Occasionally, I will receive pieces that my clients gave their all into refinishing, to only stop because the realization of the amount of work that is involved sets in, well, that and life. Don’t stress!! I am here for you!! Let me take on your project- this is what I do!!

About ninety percent of my work is custom base. I am so blessed to have your support and word of mouth.

My client brought me a dining table that has significant meaning to her. A special friend in her life gave her this table knowing she would get more use out of it. She started to strip her table but then “life” happens. Usually projects take longer then the good old 5 min YouTube tutorial. We can get discouraged real quick. After sitting in her garage for months, she reached out to me.

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Ivory Lace and lightly glazed in a dark grey. The top is stained in Wood Classics, Weathered Teak.

Serpentine Dresser

I have been wanting to do a bending technique for a while now on one of my pieces of furniture. However, I felt like I needed to have a certain piece to do it- Something that has detail and curves. It could be because all my inspiration out there would have the perfect old vintage pieces that I absolutely was obsessing over. I finally found this little dresser and thought its perfect!

An antique serpentine front dresser. Five drawers in total with three top glove drawers and two bottom deep drawers. Back is stamped with No945. Refinished in a blending technique using three colors: Sherwin-Williams Tradewind, Riverway and Open Seas. All original hardware revamped in Brushed Nickel. Long legs, curves for days this momma is available for purchase! Click over to Shop Selections to view details.
