Ever take on a project and you feel like your client has more faith in you, then you do towards your own limits? Talk about stress. I KNEW I could, it was just… NEW territory. Which is scary, nervracking and completely intimidating.
My client has an old gorgeous dining set that was past down from her mother. I saw the potential, don’t get me wrong! But the question for me was, “how in the hell am I going to do this?”.
She gave me one of her chairs and said, I want to see what you can do. This transformation is by far one of my favorites. Perhaps its because I literally shed tears, blood and sweat working on it. The reward was greatly satisfying.

My clients chair had the wicker back which completely dated it. However, her bones were glorious!
I first started out by removing the wicker from the backing. We didn’t want it, we wanted a cushion to replace that area. I sanded it back and cut out wood that would replace this area.

Primed, painted and glazed. I could do this in my sleep. It wasn’t until the reupholstering and the ‘How’ of it all that had me questioning my abilities.

Next, I added batting on the back (where your back will relax at). I pulled the fabric over and started stapling like a crazy women. Finalizing the edge with cord gives a professional appearance.
Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Software and Glazed in Cyberspace. Matching the buffet I recently finished. My client picked out a cream and grey damask fabric from Joanns. A dark grey cord to match and to finish her off!

Brand new, stylish and comfortable!!!
