Tv Entertainment Unit

Oh how I have missed the keys of my computer. This morning I sat down drinking my pumpkin spice coffee enjoying the gorgeous cool morning Arizona breeze on my patio, I realized that I have not posted in 12 days.

That doesn’t mean that I wasn’t working- oh how I am excited to share with you some new pieces that were transformed! Most of my time was taken up by a massive Tv Entertainment Unit for a client.

After a horrible house fire, my client was able to save some of her items. Now that her house is being rebuilt she figured now was the perfect time to start fresh with her style and decor. Here is a before picture of her unit!

This unit was too big to fit in my studio for staging. So I waited patiently on pins and needles today waiting for photos from my client to share! I did my best taking some in my home to share, but it just wasn’t the same. I finally got her photos and I am sharing now! Oh my heart! I’m so in love!

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Snowbound and glazed in Well-Bred Brown. Took out the glass doors and added chicken wire for a Farmhouse Chic look. Revamped all original hardware and chicken wire in Oil Rubbed Bronze.

Dining Table

I have refinished a couple dining tables that is this style; a sleek and simple design. To give something depth when there is none, especially on the legs of this piece, distressing and or glazing is always a great way to give definition.

Refinished the base and legs of this dining table in Dunn Edwards Pebble Walk and glazed in a dark brown. The top is finished in Sherwin Williams Rockweed.

Farmhouse Bed Frame

I received this fellow from a friends mother who no longer had use for this massive bed frame. When I went to go pick him up I envisioned chippy white farmhouse perfection. But then I thought to myself- This would be the perfect piece to try Whitewashing! I am so happy I went with my gut- as scary as it was to try it- I believe she turned out absolutely lovely!!!

This queen bed frame is available for purchase. You can view his details over at Shop Selections.

French Provincial Hutch

I was tagged in a facebook post from a neighbor about someone looking for a furniture refinisher for her projects. As I was talking with my new client about her options for her television entertainment unit she mentioned wanting to get a hutch done as well. She found a hutch very fast and decided to start with that project first. A vintage french provincial style china cabinet by Fancher.

She sent me her inspirational photos and basically gave me free range. Oh my stars- I was thrilled! I knew from the moment I saw her when she came into my shop she needed to be glazed, not distressed, for a timeless- classic look.

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Snowbound and glazed in Well-Bred Brown. Original hardware and door wire revamped in bronze. The top of the dresser is stained in Dark Walnut for added gorgeous flair! It will be hard to part with her. I am so thankful my new client allowed me to give this gal a Second Chance!

Antique Round Pedestal Side Table

Back in August I refinished a dining table for my client’s mother. This month I received the pedestal side table to that set.

Read his debut here: Dining Table

My client wanted them to match. During his travels the side table broke his leg and my client thought all was lost. As long as she had his foot- I could fix him!

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Toasty and glazed in Black. The top stained in Chestnut. Original hardware revamped in bronze.

Art Deco Vanity

I love these waterfall furniture pieces. This piece belongs to my Aunt. She had purchased this art deco vanity some time ago back in California at an antique shop. Finally ready to give her a Second Chance she decided on the classic stain and paint combo!

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Tricorn Black and distressed.  The top veneer on this vanity is stained in Dark Walnut. We updated the pulls with antique gold glass knobs from Hobby Lobby. I removed the back middle part where the mirror connected; as my Aunt didn’t want to use the original mirror. I think she looks fantastic!
