Ending this week off with two client pieces; a farmhouse tv entertainment unit and a coffee table. Both pieces that have adorable features and awesome details! As well as, finishing a home decor piece such as a mirror. What a simple and finalizing touch to any room! Last but not least, a wonderful chippy vintage beauty that is up for sale!

My client wanted a mirror to match. Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Thunder Grey and glazed in Reposed Grey.

Staying true to my 2017 promise for my clientele, I provided 2 inventory pieces and posted them up for sale in Shop Selections. I have plenty of pieces that are up for customization In the Studio and if not grabbed I will continue to refinish them the way I see fit! January was the start to a new year, like most people, I decided to make some personal goals. Second Chance Charms also has its own journey- Inspiration.
The flower doesn’t dream of the bee, it blossoms and the bee comes.
This month I was asked to become an approved seller for The Artisan Markets- Phoenix. I love finding inspiration from Instagram but to have re-finishers come together from Arizona is super exciting! The endless support and new friendships that I am making are wonderful!
Happiness never decreases by being shared.

I’m looking forward to seeking more inspirational tools for myself, and to inspire others to light their flame that burns deep with in them. For now, when I am not painting, you will catch me spending my time with the ones that I love.

Originally manufactured by Martin Furniture this Audio/Video Console got an update. After 10 years my client was ready to give her heavy duty Costco TV unit a Second Chance by doing a Farmhouse style. You can tell she was really wanting to update this piece instead of buying something new, flimsy and expensive. She compromised with her hubby and had him pick out the color stain for the top. I think they both made a great team and I was excited to get to work creating what they envisioned!
Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Snowbound and lightly distressed. Because the wood is mahogany, I used a couple coats of White stain and then a topcoat of Charcoal Gray stain that way our top would end up gray and not red or pink from the natural wood color. Original glass and knobs cleaned. Speaker screen thrown out, giving this gal another shelf to use!
Is your head spinning with my watermark change!? Heehee, it’s okay if you didn’t notice. I had to change my watermark back to the previous one- Potential clients were looking up my name from my photos, but reading ‘S C Charms’ wasn’t bringing them to ‘Second Chance Charms’ on the Social Media such as Google. Well, madness adverted- we are back to this lovely gem.
Thankfully a new client had shared this knowledge with me and I was able to fix it…I love having sweet friends who don’t mind using their amazing talents for Starbucks gift cards. Thanks Angela for your help! Everything is right in the world now…. please, continue…
This coffee table was purchased off of a Facebook Swip-Swap site from my client who tagged me. She wanted it to match a buffet that I refinished for her back in 2015. Although he was stunning before, I believe black makes those lines POP!

What a busy week I had! Not only did I refinish two custom pieces for a client and an inventory piece up for sale; you can view her debut at French Provincial Sideboard, but I was able to get a few home decor pieces completed for my recurring clients!
It has been a very long time where a piece of furniture got the better of me. I had to walk away a few times from this gal. First, I was unsure of the color I chose. Then I didn’t like the glazing technique I did the first time, so I redid the entire thing… Finally, after walking away and plunging myself into my To-Go furniture Instagram pages for some much needed inspiration, I finally came back to her with new eyes.
Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Touch of Sand and glazed in Brown, overall distressed. Original plates were used, but I switched out the knobs with something else, all revamped in bronze.

When refinishing pieces for my clients they oftentimes will throw in a few decor pieces to have revamped. I have a hand full of things I did for four different customers I would like to share!
Some cabinet doors for a bathroom remodel- refinished in a solid finish in Gale Force. A lamp (it may look familiar, I had painted this piece last year- my client is moving her lamp into a different room.) Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Thunder Grey and glazed in Black. A Mirror finished in Dover White and glazed in two different browns. As well as I fixed up some doggy scratches on an interior door and painted it in a custom color, China Bone.
Last, a dresser fix! I had refinished this piece about 3 years ago for my clients daughter. She moved out of her parents home and into her own place. While moving, something big and heavy fell on top of this dresser breaking the top edging off. Nothing a little glue, wood filler and paint cant handle!
