Bed Frame

This piece is truly special to my client, as it originated from her late parents’ estate- a physical link to her cherished childhood memories. Each scratch and dent carries a story, a whisper of the past that brings warmth and nostalgia. I am passionate about the art of restoration, as I believe that reviving furniture with family history can truly enrich the lives of my clients. This isn’t just about furniture; it’s about the emotions and memories woven into each piece, and I consider it an honor to be part of this meaningful journey.

Refinished in Sherwin Williams’ warm hues of Chateau Brown and Tiki Hut, the transformation involved a two-part process that brilliantly mimics the appearance of a wood stain through an admired technique. By utilizing dry brushing combined with a delicate glaze, I’ve applied one of my favorite faux stain methods. This unique approach ensures that the character of the original piece is preserved while infusing it with a fresh life. Each stroke tells a story, blending the old with the new, creating a striking balance that not only enhances the beauty of the furniture but also pays homage to its history. Through this creative process, I strive to facilitate a sense of healing and connection to the past for my clients, allowing them to embrace their memories while enjoying a renewed piece of art in their homes.
