Buffet

Clearly I love refinishing furniture. One of the main reasons why I am extremely busy with client projects more so than available pieces (You can find those gems over in Shop Selections) are the reactions I get when my clients see their final pieces. Most of the pieces I refinish for my customers are heirloom pieces. The emotional attachment to these items are important, not just to you but to me as well. I understand the importance of each piece, as most of my furniture in my home came from family. There are mixed emotions you get when giving me something so special to transform. Doubt, guilt, excitement, and literally tears of joy, I have seen it all. I am so honored to be a small part of a page in your amazing story.

This buffet was a special one to my client. As it was given to her by her late grandmother. A concern that my client had in regards to her piece was leaving the inside of the unit intact. You can still smell grandmothers potpourri and my client didn’t want to lose that part of her. I closed off the inside and carefully hand washed this gal leaving no Second Chance trace on the inside.

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Pure White and glazed in Gauntlet Gray. Revamped original hardware in nickel.

WHOA- Where do I start?! Okay, so I offered to fix the hole that was in the backing of this custom piece when my client dropped it off to me. But then we both looked at each other and realized- Beadboard! What a perfect way to add MORE character and detail to this very plain piece! (Maybe it was her idea) I’m not sure- But I was super excited to do this!

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Well-Bred Brown and glazed in Agreeable Gray. I am seriously loving this dark with light glaze look!
