Dresser turned Media Console

I found this amazing piece (also has an end table if interested)  from a fellow re-finisher. When I picked up this handsome fellow I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The square design on the drawers is too perfect for the card catalog holder hardware. Something I have been wanting to add to that perfect piece! I will be having a hard time letting this guy go! That’s right!! He is up for sale! Click on over to Shop Selections for details.

Solid and very heavy dresser up cycled his way to a media cabinet. Dovetailed joints. Now 6 Drawers with 3 shelves. Wood stained top. Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Extra White and glazed in Network Gray. The top is stained in a light gray. Added nickle card catalog holder hardware for the extra flair! Be sure to check out his before picture.

Before picture! I took off the middle doors and added shelves. Closed up all preexisting knob holes. Stained the top a light grey. And painted the base white for that farmhouse look.

3 Shades of Grey

Yes, its okay to gawk!!! I am. I am sitting here writing this blog post in front of her convincing myself to put a price tag on… *looking around* Where could I put you…

A gorgeous feminine in curves yet masculine in color, a statement piece perfect for your home!

Last week on my Facebook page, Second Chance Charms, I had asked my fellow re-finishers, clients and followers what color this dresser should be that came into the shop. I had total artist block. I knew in my heart glaze was a must… look at all that detail that needed to be showcased. I got many helpful responses. One of the ideas that were suggested was a two-toned look. At first I was nervous at the idea. This piece is already busy and I didn’t want too much going on. After I was finished priming her, I purposely left the drawers primed and painted the body in a dark gray. When I put the drawers back in it was there. Screaming yes!!!!

This amazingly huge dresser has 12 Drawers. (There is a mirror that can be refinished to match if interested- for an additional price). The base is refinished in Sherwin-Williams Gauntlet Gray. The drawer faces are painted in Reposed Grey. Finished off with Tricorn Black glaze. The original pulls of course had to be finished off in Nickle.

Measurements are 19″ deep x 68″ long x 35″ tall. Yes, she is FOR SALE! Click over to Shop Selections to view pricing.
