Master Bedroom Nightstands
Sometimes we need a change in color. My client chose to have their master bedroom furniture updated in a solid white finish. First up, his and her nightstands.
Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Snowbound. She picked out silver glass mercury knobs from Hobby Lobby, giving these pieces an updated look.

Vintage Dresser Chest
Okay… where to start. What is the world is this? My 3-year-old son, Emmett, thinks that it is a pirate chest. Its one of the most strangest pieces of furniture that I have come across. Which is the main reason why I had to purchase this bad boy.
He has 3 drawers and that is it. The rest of him is for looks. A huge chest that looks to be sitting on a table. Straps and studs, belt buckles and grooves. Why not right?! I think he is the perfect statement piece to place somewhere that could use a little farmhouse charm!
Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Pure White and distressed. Original hardware updated in white and distressed to allow patina to show through to match the studs.
He available for purchase, click over to Shop Selections to view details.

Rocking ChairÂ
Remember this lovely gem from July of 2016? My client had a rocking chair that she wanted to match to this gentleman in case they shared the same space, if not he will be in the master suite. Read his story here:Â Buffet turned TV console.

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Pure White and glazed in grey.

Hello September, Goodbye August
The month of August flew by way too fast with lots of exciting things that took place! Before we take a look at what was completed for customers and inventory, remember to get yourself on the First Dibs Email list to be notified on available pieces that come into the shop! Click over to Shop Selections to view what is available for purchase!
Think positive & positive things will happen
August tenth I had opened up our Etsy Shop! (You can read all about that story over at the post: Etsy .) I am so excited to share with you that I received my first customer! I have pieces all over the state of Arizona and pieces that moved with their owners to Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Florida (that I know of). I got a message from a gal on Etsy about wanting to purchase the French Provincial Dresser and she lived in California! After doing some research on shipping I was becoming a little reluctant about what I was doing with Second Chance Charms. Nationwide shipping is expensive! But that didn’t stop this grandma from wanting this gorgeous piece! She and her husband drove almost 5 hours to come and pick this gal up! Making this special piece my very FIRST furniture piece purchased from out of state! How exciting!! Back to reality: I need to research this shipping thing way more for my clients that do live far away and can not make a road trip out of a day! Until then, I’ll enjoy my happy dance a bit longer!

A little flashback from August 2016. A year ago was an experience to which I will never forget! I was being featured in Phoenix Magazine for the September issue under Statement Pieces in the At Home selection. You can read my story here: Featured in Phoenix Magazine. I was sick with delight all of the month of August until the issue came out a few days before September. Sharing that achievement with my clients, friends and family was such an awesome experience, one that I will never forget!

As always, I thank each and everyone of you for your continued support in Second Chance Charms!

Recent Highlights August
Breakfast Nook Table
My client found this dining table for $5 on one of the facebook swip swap pages! I have refinished her entire house and now working on pieces for her parents home! This is the second piece for them, the first was the Dining Table from last week. They needed a little table to put in their breakfast nook area and wanted to match the kitchen cabinets.
Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Accessible Beige and lightly glazed in Tricorn Black to pop out those amazing carved details! The top stained in Minwax Dark Oak.

Dining Table
My clients’ parents had many memories around this dining table for years. Family dinners, holiday parties and much more! So when age, water damage and normal ware and tear got the best of this old gal, they turned to me to have her refinished. Now she can give many more happy times to a wonderful loving group of people!
Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Toasty and glazed in Tricorn Black. The underside is finished as well for those times the table leafs are down giving full beauty to this antique. Top stained in Chestnut.

About five years ago, I refinished a dresser that looked a little like this one. So when I met my client over at a gals house to pick this piece up to be refinished I was completely over the moon to get my hands on it!! There is just something about these French Provincial pieces that are stunning!
Refinished in Sherwin Williams Pure White and glazed in Tricorn Black to enhance the gorgeous details. Original hardware revamped in black.
