Goodbye March, Hello April
I hope everyone had an exciting Easter and a wonderful month in March. My littles enjoyed their spring break the last week of the month following into Easter and we were busy with fun, friends and the start of our two home projects!
Let’s take a peek at what was completed for the month of March! I had one inventory piece that went out in the First Dibs Email and was picked up that week. Visit Shop Selections to get on the First Dibs List and to see what is available in the shop for purchase that is already finished ready for your home! As always, you can view what pieces are available for customization over at In the Studio.
I’m in love with each and every one of these pieces! I had the pleasure to complete my first ever piano alongside staining a table and bench that my client built.
If I could say it in words, there would be no reason to paint.

We are in the last phase of completing two home projects that have been on the paper for quite some time. One, of which took me 2 years to find the perfect barn doors. There are a few sayings that come to mind about patience. Boy, did I have to remind myself countless times about waiting. Once I found my doors everything else seem to fall into place. Stay tuned in as I will share in detail in two different blog post about how I made space in my home into my official Boutique Room as well as what exciting task we did for our back patio ceiling!
Looking forward to April!

2017 Portfolio
Second Chance Charms completed one hundred and twenty-one pieces for the year 2017, both custom projects for clients and inventory selections. I also completed thirteen decor items for returning clients. This year I worked on some of the biggest sized pieces I have ever done! SWOON!
Thank you. Thank you!
You can’t use up creativity, the more you use, the more you have.
Looking back at my 2016 Portfolio inspiration was my 2017 goal for Second Chance Charms as well as in my personal life. I am constantly inspired by the many refinishers, blog post and Instagram accounts I follow daily, that I hope to one day be that for others.
As I look back on 2017 I am happy to say that I enjoyed all that I was a part of, from attending a seminar with Matthew Kelly, donating my hair, running an Art Club at my children’s school, creating The Artistic Home Design, my Shop Renovation and all the inbetweens like being a part of the Artisan Market and creating Second Chance Charms Behind the Scenes Furniture group. This year I was inspired to try new things by the people around me.
So what is next for Second Chance Charms, you ask?

This new year I want to focus more on sharing How-To’s, give examples, show tutorials and more. I’m looking forward to this 2018 year!
Thank you for being apart of my journey, supporting my business and allowing me to do what I love!

Keeping on point with my 2017 New Years Resolution- Inspiration , I am happy to share with you that I started a Behind the Scenes with Second Chance Charms. A group on Facebook where clients, refinishers and friends that want to see ‘behind the scenes’ of what happens here at Second Chance Charms.
Refinishing furniture isn’t glamorous, easy or quick (well, when I do it at least). You will laugh with me at my corkiness, watch all the work that comes with refinishing a piece of furniture- beleive it or not, most pieces don’t require only paint. Find tips and advice on upcycling, staining and painting furniture. You can ask for help, color suggestions and more with a group of amazing individuals who share a common interest! There is an album where you can see all SCC pieces in my client homes!
You can find this group here: Second Chance Charms (Behind the Scenes) Furniture. Come and join in! As always, visit Facebook: Second Chance Charms to view Second Chance Charms custom pieces, inventory selections and more!

An Approved Artisan- Phoenix
MEEP! I have exciting news!!! The Artisan Markets approved me to start selling in Phoenix!
Who is this? What are they? They bring quality furniture artisans and customers together in an upscale and balanced environment through Facebook and Instagram. I am learning that most states have their own The Artisan Markets to join! You can find our Arizona branch here at: TAM Instagram page and or TAM Facebook page. It’s just starting in AZ so come join us!!! To be a furniture seller YOU MUST BE APPROVED TO SELL ON THEIR SITE.
The most exciting part about TAM, is that the artist come together to support one another, how about that for inspiration!! Remember my 2017 New Years Goal?
Inspire
I am looking forward to being inspired by my fellow artist and hoping that I can inspire someone too!!!
