“Oh my gosh! It’s so beautiful. I can’t believe I contemplated getting rid of it and buying a new piece for my space.”

Really in love with this gal! My client had a vision and although she didn’t quite push me out of my comfort zone, I found a challenge worth the reward.

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Anonymous and glazed in one shade darker using Porpoise. (The challenge in glazing one shade darker was I couldn’t tell how much of the glaze I was applying and taking off. When paint is wet its lighter. So during the glazing process I felt like I was reapplying the same base color. Talk about nervousness!) The top is stained using Varathane Wood Stain in Weathered Oak. The original hardware is cleaned up, however, the two long plates were more gold. In order to match them to the pulls I sprayed the two plates in Oil Rubbed Bronze and wet sanded them to bring a little gold out to match the existing pulls.

Nightstands

Last year I refinished a bedroom set for a client in a white lightly distressed in the lines, with stained tops. Another customer saw them and said “Hey!!! I have that exact set and I love them done in white!”

My new customer wanted the same look only more distressing! Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Alabaster and heavily distressed. Tops stained in Minwax Jacobean. Original hardware revamped in Oil Rubbed Bronze.

Corner Armoire

My client uses this corner armoire as a wine/bar server. It has two shelves that I also refinished but didn’t photo as my client kept the pegs for them.

Refinished in a color from Bear called Hemisphere. Of course I had the color made in my Sherwin-Williams paints! New hardware picked out by my client, modern square knobs with plates in oil rubbed bronze. Glazed in the lines using Turkish Coffee.

Mid-Century Lane Furniture Cedar Trunk

This gorgeous Mid-Century Cedar Trunk by Lane Furniture was my clients mothers and she had it in her home for a while. Never matching her style she was ready to do something with it. Second Chance Charms to the rescue!

After many years of wear and tear my client wanted the wood inlays on the top to come back to life. As well as getting rid of the water marks and chips on the veneer this handsome fellow was in need of a restoration on the top!

Refinishing the base in Sherwin-Williams Burlap, heavily glazing in Turkish Coffee. I restored the top in Minwax Early American. Revamped the original hardware and lock in Oil Rubbed Bronze. I noticed the hardware was very similar to the inlays, which I thought was super special!
