Drexel End Table

If you have been in my boutique recently you’ve noticed the barn doors that I’ve been working on for my home. I was inspired by their style and your kind words to do that same color scheme on a piece of furniture.  I had this fun and exciting end table over at In the Studio up for customization.

He can be used as an end table or nightstand. Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Pure White and glazed in Gauntlet Grey. New hardware revamped in Black. Available for purchase you can view his details over at Shop Selections.

Tall Chest of Drawers and Nightstand

As a mother of three little getleman I understand the meaning of “we need to transition from kiddy furntuire into something he can enjoy later in his life”. Our childrens room are their personal little safe havens from the outside world that we loveingly allow them to express themselves with. They go through their styles through the years and having to change out only the decor pieces instead of furnture pieces can save hundreds of dollars and can also become herilooms later in life.

When I had a mother reach out to me wanting to bring her twelve year old over to view two of my inventory pieces from my In the Studio selection I was excited to see what ideas he was envisioning for himself.

A few days ago I posted a light blue Nightstand which will be used for mom in her room and son is taking the tall chest and one nightstand. Its pretty exciting seeing the same piece of furniture refinished in two different ways!
Refinished in Sherwin-Williams In The Navy with a Walnut stain top. Original hardware pulls cleaned.

Nightstand

As of late I have been working with neutral colors so when my client picked out a bright blue for her piece I was over the moon excited about it!

A small nightstand with a big impact. Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Porch Ceiling. Updated the hardware with these lovely handles from Hobby Lobby that my client picked out.

Stay tuned in as her twin is being refinished completely different.

His and Her Nightstands

And to think my client was on the verge of getting rid of these pieces to buy something… dare I say it…. NEW! When she sent me pictures of her master suite furniture pieces for a quote I fell in love right away. How could I not? Look at the curves of the legs, the front bow of each piece. And not to mention the sturdiness of everything, you can tell in the photos these items were heavy-duty and well made.

I am in absolute love over this custom bedroom set that I have been working on these past two weeks. Stay tuned in as you will see a master suite traditional style bedroom set transform into a farmhouse chic style! First I will be sharing the nightstands.

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Reflection with a light distressed finish. Added new white chippy knobs from Hobby Lobby. These gals are officially farmhouse chic!

Before picture. When removing the exsiting knobs I filled in the gaping holes they left behind and created new spots for the knobs my client picked out.

Chic Nightstands

Can you envision how gorgeous a Master Suite will look with having these nightstands, paired with a grey upholstered bed frame!? Oh the feels!

My client chose the color Sherwin-Williams Hush White, glazed in Network Grey and lightly distressed. The top stained in a custom gray color. Adding lovely antique silver mercury scallop knobs from Hobby Lobby totally completed the girls chic transformation.

Two Dipped Nightstands

Originally my client was going to have me refinished these gals in a deep teal, but when she came to drop them off she saw the Dipped French Provincial Nightstand that was waiting to be picked up by another client. On the spot she made the decision that her pieces needed to have this look. We settled on teal and orange; beautiful complementary colors!

Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Bosporus and “dipped” in Sherwin-Williams Yam. Replaced the rope hardware for stunning bronze half moon pulls.

I got to refinish my first antique record player cabinet (I am not counting the famous Victrola because there were no insides to that piece just his amazing shell- Click 2015 Portfolio to view him- He is the 1st one on the 2nd row).  As well as I got to do a new refinishing style- the Dipped Look, on an adorable french provincial nightstand! Check out Refinished Styles as I added this neat style for you to choose from. Of course we can’t forget that navy armoire with those amazing handles! Last but defiantly not least, a sweet bookcase that was built by my clients father many years ago when he was a young boy.

Dipped French Provincial Nightstand

I have been wanting to do this dip look for quiet sometime! My client wanted gray and gold with a white glaze. We picked the color Sherwin-Williams Network Gray and Pure Gold. Revamped the original hardware in Pure Gold and glazed in white. Swoon!!
