I was asked to donate a piece of furniture in an auction to help raise money for a family who recently lost their mother. All proceeds will go to the West Valley Hope Women’s Center to distribute to the family in this hard time.
A lovely kidney-shaped single pedestal desk, can be used as a vanity. Refinished in Sherwin-Williams White Flower and distressed for a perfect farmhouse look. Glazed in grey with a faux grey stain top. All original hardware revamped in bronze. Starting bid at $189.00. Don’t you just love finding great pieces at a garage sale for a great price! My client picked this up and wanted a farmhouse chic piece.
Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Creamy. Glazed in grey and lightly distressed in the perfect spots. Top stained in a mixture of Minwax Weather Teak and a custom grey stain. New hardware added from Lowes Improvement Store, Caroline Arch Pull in Flat Black. Loving how this custom piece turned out!

I needed color in my life, and I needed it fast! With summer at an end and school has begun I still think about our vacation to California and the gorgeous beaches. Using the ocean as an inspiration I wanted to do something special with one of my inventory pieces.
Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Honeycomb, Freshwater and Rainstorm using a blending technique. Glazed in black for a deep vintage look. Original hardware revamped in gold and glazed in black.
This piece is available for purchase! Click over to Shop Selections to view details.

When you find the right sized piece for your home but don’t need the broke record player that’s in it, take it out and add a shelf! This perfect little record player stand has been upcycled and turned into a sideboard for my clients dining room.
Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Tricorn Black and lightly distressed around the edges. The original hardware has been polished and cleaned for that vintage look.
Side note: Our newest member of the family is making her debut! I will try not to have her in all my photos, but, there is no guarantee! Meet Miss Justice, Second Chance Charms shop pup!

This lovely antique cabinet came all the way from California for a Second Chance! Once belonging to my clients mother she finally wanted to give her a new look. Over time this piece started to have its wear and tear, as you can see in the before pictures, and needed some help!
Taking off the fabric backdrop and old veneer was a start! Refinished in Sherwin-Williams Indigo Batik and glazed in brown. My client has the glass door fronts at home as well as the glass shelves. I can’t wait to see what it looks like in her space!

Last month I finished a retro nightstand, read here to view him: Retro Nightstand. I got my hands on the nightstands’ twin brother and his dresser. These pieces are such delicate items as their tops are a thin sheet of veneer. My client wanted them stained with a solid finished base. Sanding these tops are not only challenging but time consuming. One wrong move can destroy them. They have such a gorgeous design to them that needed to be showcased where the previous stain was too dark and hid their beauty.
Refinished in a solid look using Sherwin-Williams Black Bean and tops are stained in Armoire Hickory. Original hardware cleaned up. Stay tuned in for the matching mirror and armoire!
